MI Trip and more

Last month we travled up to MI to visit family and lay Grandpa to rest. Grandpa's service was just immediate family and a nice way to say goodbye. We laughed and cried as we share our favorite memories of him. Grandpa was always into sports and loved sharing his knowledge with his grandchildren. We also got to spend time with mom Aunt Terri (mom's sister) and her family. We took trips out on the boat, chatted a lot and got to play cards all week. It was great to see everyone since it's been so long since we've all been together. Maryssa got to meet everyone and play with her second cousin.
We also traveled out to dad's old stomping grounds. It was neat to see where he grew up and hear stories about the crazy things he did when he was younger. We went there when I was still in 4th or 5th grade, but I didn't remember to much of our trip. However, I will never live down the huge dive I took racing dad down the sand dune. I knew I had to go back and prove I could get all the way down this time without falling, but now they won't let you climb them :-( So much for rewritting history.
