She makes us smile.

Baby, baby, baby.  Maryssa is in love with babies.  Her favorite thing to do is play with her baby dolls and put them to "ni night."  Although the transition in and out of the crib is questionable, she does a great job with the "rock rock."  After putting her baby down, she squats down and will rock he baby for a few minutes before grabbing them by the hair to take them out of the crib.  Of course the baby can't just lsep so she takes her on the "choo choo."

Another favorite is bugs.  The warm weather has been wonderful.  As a matter of fact, I'm sitting outside on the swing, in the warm sun, with birds chirping as a write.  I love it.  The thing we don't love are stink bugs.  They are coming back in full swing.  Once Maryssa learned the word bug, we hear it non stop all day.  She spots them from across the room and Eric and I have to look all around to find where they are.  It's amazing how she can see them.  Of course, once she sees them it's all over.  We hear "bug, bug, bug" until we finally go over and remove the bug.  It's funny to see her near them.  There was a dead one on the floor and she walked over to it and just stood looking at it.  After she gathered up some courage, she leaned down to touch it and it started to move.  I guess it was really just resting.  Boy did she jump and then came running over.  Now she just likes to point them out from a distance.

Maryssa's personality is coming out more and more every day.  She has her daddy's concentation and can zone out depite my hand waving in front of her face.  This is of course amplified when the tv is on.  We don't let her watch a lot of tv, but when she was sick for almost a week and a half she got more than usual.  She now thinks that every time we go downstairs the "fishy" (Finding Nemo) will be played on the tv.   She also is a content child.  She loves playing on her own, or with mommy.  Going "ouTsiiide" is one of her favorite things to do and she loves riding in the car so she can look otu the window.  She is like her daddy in some ways, but we see a lot of her mommy too.  I have never seen a child talk so much in my life.  One afternoon, she went Eric and would jab for a minute and then run to me and chat away, then run back to Eric.  This went on for a least 5 minutes.  We just  nodded our heads and replied back in between our laughing.  Of course she has her moments of breaking down, but she is so much fun to play with and makes us laugh everyday.

The other morning, Eric made waffles for breakfast.  We have been trying to teach her to bite her food instead of shoving and shoving until she can't close her mouth.  This morning I guess she liked the middle of the waffle and not the edges.
