April ended with a refreshing get away to the beach with the ladies in my bible study. We sent the week, chatting, sleeping, relaxing, eating and sharing our testimonies. It was great to have some adult time and of course I soaked in as much of the sand and sun as I could. On one of our walks we even saw a whale.
Breath of Heaven
Our royal wedding celebration.
May's beautiful weather along with some new outdoor toys had us in the great outdoors a lot. Maryssa has been busy playing in her water table and her new slide. It's amazing that she can spend hours running between the two before she's ready to move one. We also spent the month wrapping up our volleyball season. This is our 5th 14 and under team and we continue to love this age. The girls work hard for us and of course they make us laugh with the things they say. We get to learn all the new slang terms, like legit, and of course wear puffy paint coaching shirts. Memorial Day weekend we spent coaching a 3 day tournament in Richmond while Maryssa spent the weekend with Nana and Papa.
Playing on her new slide.
Playing with cousin Lala (aka Lexi). The only girls have to stick together.
So excited to see Nana and Papa she was wide awake at 10:30pm.
Happy to see Uncle Danny.
I guess Jada is a horse now. This only lasted for a minute so we could get pictures.
Look at Jada's face...it says it all.
Although June is only half way through, Maryssa and I have been adventuring out to new places. We've found several new playgrounds, hiked in some parks and went swimming in the local lake. We also heard our first full sentence early this month. While walking home from the park in our neighborhood, Maryssa announces "I see a ball." Eric and I looked at eachother as she repeated "I see a ball." She must have know we were both shocked to hear so many words strung together. Yes, we have the smartest girl in the world.
All ready to play at the park.
Picnic outside with Taylor.
Her up do.
My little water girl.
