Happy Halloween

Eric and I headed down to a local pumpkin patch to search for the perfect pumpkins. We ate apple cider donuts, drank some warm hot chocolate and walked the patch. To our surprise, we found pumpkins fairly quickly. For the previous 3 years we have spent about an hour looking through all the pumpkins to find the perfectly round pumpkin with a nice stem on top for Eric. We couldn't believe that in 10 minutes we were back on the hayride heading away from the pumpkin patch. As you can see, we had to make sure Sam got a pumpkin too, even though he didn't get to go with us.

Halloween night was fun. We sat out on the front porch, and watched as the trick or treaters headed around the neighborhood. As you can see Sam, was dressed as a bee!

The following day we went with some friends to the corn maze. They had a Obama and McCain maze with Vote 2008. The husbands decided it would be good to run around and scare us by all the sudden darting off, and then later reappearing around a corner. We also visited with the pigs, chickens, goats and bees at the barn, raced down the slides and jumped on a giant pillow like thing filled with air. It was great to let loose and act like kids again. The best part was it was the last night the farm was open so we had the place pretty much to ourselves.
